Utilities

prism.version

Returns the version of the Prism library in use.

Syntax

def version() -> int

Return Value

The encoded version.

Remarks

This function wraps prism_version. The version is that of the loaded native library, which MAY differ from the version of the prismatoid package. It is encoded as (major << 16) | (minor << 8) | patch, so version 1.4.7 is 0x010407; bits 24 through 31 are zero. Encoded versions compare in the same order as the versions they encode. Prism follows Semantic Versioning, and while the major version is 0, minor releases MUST NOT be assumed compatible.

prism.version_string

Returns the version of the Prism library in use, as a string.

Syntax

def version_string() -> str

Return Value

The version string.

Remarks

This function wraps prism_version_string. The result has the form "1.4.7", and is also available as prism.__version__.

prism.__version__

The version of the Prism library in use, as returned by version_string.

Syntax

__version__ = version_string()
